Arizona’s Mental Health Crisis

More than 321,000 adults in Arizona need mental health treatment but cannot access it.

The most common reason?

Cost.

Behind that number are real people:

• trauma survivors
• youth impacted by violence
• veterans and first responders
• families navigating overwhelming pain

Too many people who want help simply cannot afford it.

OUR SOLUTION

Expanding Access to Trauma Care

Shine His Light exists to provide safe, compassionate trauma therapy for people who might otherwise go without it.

Through the Shine His Light Scholarship Fund, individuals can receive trauma therapy even when cost would normally prevent access.

Healing becomes possible when someone cares enough to make access available.

OUR SOLUTION

In 2025 alone, Shine His Light has already provided:

• 200+ trauma therapy sessions (scholarship sessions)
• Equine trauma healing experiences (for Chandler, AZ schools) and more

But the need across Arizona remains enormous.

2026 Goals

In 2026, Shine His Light is working to expand access to healing by:

• Sponsoring 20 individuals to receive trauma therapy
• Hiring an additional two faith-based trauma practitioners
• Expanding the Wranglers for Freedom program in the Chandler School District
• Establishing two therapy offices on a Gilbert-area ranch and community center
• Scaling neural coaching programs for brain injury and complex trauma recovery
